During the late 1990'S the Atlanta Zoo was no longer run by the city of Atlanta. It was turned over to private enterprise in an attempt to revitalize the Zoo and surrounding Park area. A great success story that continues to develop year after year. The Atlanta Zoo is certainly worthy of any Zoo lovers list of sites to see. While the famous "Willie B" has past away this Zoo continues to pursue an aggressive path of presenting all of us with a great place to visit and learn.
